Class Descriptions
AQUATICS - VERTICAL CONDITIONING
SMALL POOL
ABC/WATER WORKS – Back to the basics functional training for daily living in active adult’s lives. This class teaches people how to take responsibility for their health through exercise.
BALANCE TRAINING – Combines stationary muscular training and active muscle movement allowing participants to achieve proper balance between stabilizing muscles and muscles that move us.
CORE TRAINING – Adding equipment resists movement in just the right way allowing deeper skeletal muscles to fire and work.
RANGE OF MOTION – Combines water’s resistance and participant’s range of motion to increase joint and muscle flexibility.
RESISTANCE TRAINING – Resistance changes as your body moves through water creating turbulence, currents and drag. Instructor’s then add equipment to increase the work load. This strengthens muscles.
WATER WALKING – Walk one mile in the water and tone muscles at the same time by adding resistant cuffs at the ankles.
LARGE POOL
CORE TRAINING – An advanced deep water class using buoyant equipment at the feet allows your center of buoyancy to be challenged to the point that you must engage the deepest muscles of the trunk to stay vertical.
DEEP WATER MOVEMENT – Experience an awesome total body workout by enjoying the freedom of movement that is only possible in deep water.
MAX CLASS – This class enables you to get a high intensity cardiovascular workout without the impact and added stress on your joints.
